Clinic Days -April 22, 24 & 29 (6PM-8:30PM) @ RLHS Main Gym
We will be hosting several clinic days to allow students to get a feel for what color guard is and to start learning the audition routine(s). The captains and coaches will be teaching you a variety of basic dance and flag skills that you can practice at home before the auditions. We highly encourage both new and returning members to participate. These clinics are fun and stress free! It is a great way to meet new people and get a feel for what guard really is. A practice video will be available to help guide you through the routines for at home practice.
Auditions - April 29 (6-9PM) @ RLHS Main Gym
We try and keep auditions as stress free and fun as possible. It is a large group process, so no one ever auditions alone. Attendance at the clinics will definitely ease your stress at auditions because you will already know the routines and expectations. You must attend the auditions in person on the scheduled date in order to participate. Students will receive the results of the audition a few days after they take place. A roster will be emailed to students and it will appear on our social media.
Clinic and Audition Guidelines
*Students should wear comfortable workout clothes, no jeans please.
*Students should wear their hair tied back away from their face.
*Students should wear gym shoes or dance shoes
*Students should bring their own water bottle.
*Students should use door 7.
*Students must bring all of their own equipment if they own it. New members will be issued a practice flag on the first day. They will hang on to that flag until after the auditions are over. Once the auditions have concluded the flags will be returned. If a student makes the team they will have the opportunity to purchase their own equipment or school equipment will be reissued. Students who do not return the practice equipment will be billed $30.
